Luke’s family moved to Harare from Adelaide in 1985 where Luke and Brett met racing as bitter rivals in the extremely competitive Zimbabwean Motocross series. Although elbow to elbow on track and doing whatever it took to take the win, off track they were great mates riding their bicycles and doing what kids do, a true friendship begins.
Luke’s family returned to Australia in ’91 where contact was lost with Brett until 2009 when the UCI BMX World Championships moved to Adelaide Australia (Luke and Aimee’s home town). Some 18 years on, Luke and Brett now with families of their own meet again elbow to elbow on track, this time on BMX bicycles.
With the dust settling and a revitalised Friendship, Faith Race Australia is born.
